1.27 million female students were studying courses at an undergraduate or postgraduate level in 2014/2015. This is 12.4% more than the number of male students. But only 28.8% of those females are studying STEM subjects at UK universities. This means that 71.2% of females have not chosen STEM subjects to study.
A large proportion of females study science subjects, however there is still a struggle to attract more women into the fields of Maths, Technology & Engineering. We as a company are bringing these individuals to our platform which will make it easier for employers to reach them. Our sister company "The STEM People" is working with young school students to train them to join STEM related courses and professions.
